Triangle's Independent Weekly Endorses Hampton Dellinger

Dear North Carolina Friend,

Independent Weekly CoverI have great news to share -- the Independent Weekly, a free newspaper in the Triangle with nearly 200,000 readers, endorsed my campaign today.

The paper noted my commitment to reproductive and civil rights, and wrote: "Dellinger ... will be -- should he win -- a potential future progressive governor.  Imagine that."

Of course, my focus is on making meaningful changes from the Lieutenant Governor's office.  I'll work tirelessly for well-funded and effective schools, safe and sustainable communities, healthy children and a healthy environment, real solutions for families in poverty, good jobs in every part of the state, and honest and open government.

According to the paper, "it looks like only Dalton and Dellinger have any chance of hitting the 40 percent threshold and winning the primary outright. If that's correct, we'd like to see it be Dellinger."  So would I.  But I can't get to 40 percent without your help.

We've got less than two weeks to go, and I would be truly grateful for your vote, and any poll worker time or campaign contribution you can provide.
